According to the Prentice Hall Reference Guide the following are reasons a person should avoid plagiarism:
First, plagiarism is unethical.
Second, plagiarism is a loss of learning opportunity.
Third, plagiarism diminishes your credibiltiy.
Fourth, plagiarism can cause serious penalties, along with academic dishonesty.
