Jordan Wiertzema Plagiaarism Response

Plagiarism is wrong when used in writing any document. According to the Prentice Hall Reference Guide (Custom Edition for Ozarks Technical Community College) "plagiarism is unethical and means a lot of lost learning opportunity." Also, "plagiarism diminishes your credibility and may result in serious penalties." Without doing the actual research to learn the subject being studied the knowledge that could be gained is lost not only for the plagiarizer but society as well. There is nothing wrong with mixing our ideas with those of others, as long as those ideas we take from others we source and give credit too appropriately. The majority of most colleges and universities also heavily look down upon plagiarism and the consequences could have legal and personal effects on a person's life or career. In the end it is best to avoid plagiarism all together because it isn't that hard to cite sources effectively.
