I guess that, because Courtney Stewart has already posted about me, I have to follow in her footsteps. Also, I've been at work, so I'm rushing this first post. Shame on me.
Courtney, my twin sister, is a wonderful individual. Over the years (about four, I would say), we have grown apart. I have not decided if that's a good thing or not, but it is not something that I regret. Without her, I would not be here today. We've lived through stupid decisions, but we help one another. I will always be here for you, Mouse. I love you.
On a more independent note, I have not decided what I will do with my life. I'm trying to convince myself to stay in school, because I know that it is the right decision, but jeez, so many years of schooling up ahead! In a perfect world, I will become a nurse, and find a wonderful person to take to London with me, but, the world is not a perfect place. So, until then, I will definitely finish my two years at OTC. However, I have no idea what I will focus on. My attention seems to gravitate towards moving out of Missouri.
I enjoy reading and writing. I thought that I had given both pleasures up once I hit my sophomore year in high school. Why? Because I hated almost everything about that place. Apparently, if you're a reader, or writer, you're destined to be an outcast. The students made me feel that way, but I disregarded their comments, and decided to talk to my English teacher that following year. Mrs. Willis. She changed my life. She encouraged me to follow my dreams and passions. I still think of her each time I put a pencil/pen to paper as I'm pondering the next line in my poem. Or when I read the books she gave me. I will be forever thankful of her.
