Jordan Wiertzema - Intro
I'm Jordan and my last name is Wiertzema which I know is weird, uncommon and somewhat hard to pronounce. It's different though and I like it. Who wants to be normal anyways? This will be my first semester at OTC and I feel prepared for anything that I'm going to have to deal with. I wasn't planning on the whole college experience for awhile though because I had joined the Marine Corps, and during the summer I was in San Diego, CA at MCRD for Marine Recruit Training. Unfortunately after a few weeks I was discharged for a medical reason so here I am. I was going in as an Intelligence Analyst and I still plan on pursuing possibly some type of career in intelligence, though I'm considering making my major psychology. And so you know, me and my close group of friends that I have are very good with computers so if you need help at all or want to know something I would be more than happy to try and do something for you if you talk to me. Also a few other things I'm involved in are Freemasonry and the martial art of Aikido. Again if you're interested at all I'm ready to talk, make a new friend. I just try to keep myself busy and am constantly meeting new people. I run in some of my spare time to stay in shape and I use it as practice to run 5K and 10K races. That's just kind of the tip of the iceberg, but that's me at a glance.

Hello! My boyfriends step dad is a retired Marine, I hear stories of how hard the training and stuff for is was. I hope your new career works out, it sound interesting!!
San Diego is one of my favorite places. I've spent a lot of time in Oceanside and Carlsbad, but nothing beats the restaurant in San Diego called the Blue Water Seafood Market. Great stuff. Downtown is neat too. I wish I was better about computers. I don't know how, but I missed the boat on that one.
I have several close friends and family members in the marines and I do have to say, I think it is awesome for you to be training for that! Good luck. Also, I too considered majoring in psychology, best of luck to you there as well!
I have always wanted to get into martial arts but I just never had the time! Best of luck to you and your future. I hope everything works out smoothly!
I'm really sorry to hear about the medical release. Don't give up though, and continue to search for a similar path like you've wanted.
it's nice to know some people who are interested in forensics. good luck this semester! xD
I love San Diego! Several of my good friends joined the Marine Corps out of high school. Sorry to hear about the release. That is really cool that you do martial arts. I always wanted to get into it but never had the chance.
