Hello :)
My name is Jamie Beelow, I am from Chicago, IL, and I am majoring in Elementary Education with an emphasis in History. I have one brother who is in his first year of college, and a 9 year old sister who truely is my best friend. She's the greatest little punk that has ever come into my life. Many people say that she's my mini me, we look, and act, exactly the same. I have a psycho german shepherd who makes life... interesting. She's incredibly smart, and I'm pretty sure if I ever wrote a book about her it would be a best seller. She's the german shepherd version of Marley. Last year I attended Missouri State University, after a year there I realized college is really expensive... really really expensive. I went home for a semester and attended a community college by my house. After a semester at home, I was able to transfer to a Panera Bread here in Springfield, and I decided then that I was ready to move back to good ol' Springfield. I live with some of the greatest roomates in the world. They mean the world to me and are always there when I need a shoulder to lean on. Since I am from Chicago, I am a HUGE Cubs fan. I know what you're thinking, the Cubs suck. I'll be the first to admit, yeah they aren't the best team in the MLB, however they are my loveable losers and I will never turn my back on them. Football is a huge part of my life, I grew up a daddy's girl and was molded into the Steelers #1 fan. Softball has always been a huge part of my life, actually it took over my life. I'm very athletic and I love to work out and be active. I'm lactose intolerant and it sucks! I use to love eating ice cream, and that love was crushed this past year when I found out I was allergic to it. I'm a huge nerd, and I love reading and going to school. I also have this weird obsession with Batman, I think he's the greatest superhero ever! I have this dork of a boyfriend who is the goofiest person I have ever met. We've been dating for almost a year and I am so greatful for him. That's basically it, I look forward to this semester and can't wait to get to know all of you.

Panera Bread is the greatest. I could never work there because I would eat ALL THE TIME. Ewww, the cubs...Go Cards!I've got a pretty great dog too. They make people's lives a lot better.
what kind of sport are you into? I used to love sports. I really want to be a good volleyball and Ultimate Frisbee player but I don't practice. so I kinda suck at sports now. :(
I think the most surprising part of this post is the fact that you are praising your roommates. All I seem to hear about is how this roommate is horrible, and that one is just lazy. I'm glad that things appear to be working out for you though, it must be nice! Although I'm more of a cat person, I really enjoy the company of a german shepherd. Good luck this semester!
I agree with the post before me in that it is cool you get along with your roomates. I am fortunate I dont have that problem but I can not stand messes so living with my frinds would be a problem.
I don't know if I can get past the fact you're a Cubs fan, but I'll try. If you're into working out, try Insanity. I have been doing that and it is one of the best workouts I have ever done!
You're lucky to have good roommates like that that are there for you. As for calling yourself a "huge nerd" I am as well. My girlfriend also has a obsession with Batman as well.
You are quite the interesting person to stumble upon. It was nice to read such a good post that kept my interest. I'm glad things have worked out for you and have been better financially. Stay in there and don't be too bummed about the inability to eat ice cream ... there are brownies out there waiting to be eaten!
Jamie - I have worked at the Panera on Kansas for 3 years, and I was at the Sunshine cafe for almost 3 years also. Which one are you at? Do you like it?
I have a crazy blue heeler who always has me worried that he is up to no good. He is way too smart for his own good, it gets him into a lot of trouble. But he is also a little love bug and will settle down and cuddle any chance he gets.
