Emily-Intro

My name is Emily. This is my second year at OTC. I took a break for a while, but decided to get enrolled again and finish my degree. I have a fairly big family, but it's mostly because of the grandchildren. I have an older sister and an older brother. I have a daughter that is 3 and will be 4 soon. Altogether there are 6 grandchildren in the family. I love life and enjoy everything that I do. I have learned for my mistakes and try my best to make my life better for me and my daughter. I am in the Early Childhood Development program and enjoy it. I want to eventually go into teaching after I have my ECD degree. I want to teach Kindergarden. I have learned a lot from having my daughter and can't wait to begin my future and pursue my dream. I am from a small town that has less than 5,000 people. I have lived there since i was about 4. I don't like small towns but it's home. I look forward to beginning this class and my other ones here at OTC.

I'm also going into education! I still can't decide if I want to stick with elementary education or go into early childhood.

I can relate to the big family. Kindergarten would be so much fun to teach. That's a very rewarding career. Good luck with your degree!

I love kids but I could never teach kindergartners. Tough job that requires patience, in which I don't have much of. Haha Good Luck though!!

If you do teach Kindergarten I'm sure you'll like it. I got to tutor Kindergarten kids for the A+ Program so I could come to OTC. They would call me Mr.Jordan and they made my day a lot because sometimes they're just too funny with everything they say and do.

I helped teach a kindergarten class in high school. It was so much fun. The kids are so entertaining and crazy at that age! Good luck :)

Props to you for enrolling to finish your degree! I can't imagine teaching younger children...too much pressure. Good luck, however--I'm sure you'll do a wonderful job!

My cousin who attends Florida State is also wanting to become an early education teacher. Good luck with everything!
