My name is Cheyenne Long; I am a second semester student here at OTC. I plan to get my associates through OTC then transfer to MSU. I graduated in 2012 from Ash Grove, Missouri. I grew up in a small town and love nature. Agricultural education is my dream career. Although it’s my dream, I am not sure I could handle all the junior high and high school students. I was enjoying my time off. I work forty hours a week, go to OTC, and am enrolled in cosmetology school. I do not want to be a cosmetologist, I am a very imaginative person and I love art. Cosmetology just isn’t my calling. I am just beyond excited to hopefully become an amazing agriculture teacher. I hope to be just as great as the one I had in high school. I live in Lawrenceburg. I am so scatter brained today that it’s kind of funny. Last semester I told myself no classes before 8 but what happened? The only humanities class that was open on Tuesday and Thursday was 7 am. My heart hit my feet when I saw that. But at least it’s the exact same schedule as last semester just with different classes. I hope this semester goes by smoothly; I am excited to see what it brings to me. I grew up in a small town and on a farm. My parents own 80 acres and I live in the rent house that we own. I need to find a roommate because bills are getting hard to pay. That is the typical story of a college student though. I am a person that loves to be outside, nature is amazing. The feeling you have when you are sitting in a tree stand and nature is at its best is remarkable.

I am currently dating a high school ag teachers daughter and I know how he gets with the students sometimes. He really can be upset but he loves the kids becasue generally if you ask them ag is their favorite class.
Nature really is the best. Even though there are only 168 hours in a week, its sounds like you're using at least 200. I couldn't do that much. I'm a procrastinator, so maybe it would be good for me.
I agree, inside is no place to stay when it's nice outside...
My friends son honestly thought tomatoes come from the grocery store...we need GOOD ag teachers!!So I think you should definitely go for it!
I have seen shirts that say "have you thanked a farmer today?"...I like those! A lot of people dont realize the hard work it takes ...
I love spending time outside as well. HIking and even just relaxing outside is the best.
Did you know Megan Deines? She went there before moving to Springfield, and we played basketball together!
I enjoyed sitting by you in class yesterday and getting to know a little about you then. You seemed like a very sweet girl!
I went to school in willard so I know quite a few Ash Grove people! I love that town. I can see why you love sitting in a tree stand. Ash Grove is country that's for sure!
I agree with you about just being outside sometimes instead of staying cooped up inside somewhere, it can definitely be relaxing. Like when I go running I do it out on country roads, and it really is nice.
